If Rocks Could Speak
Oil 36” x 48” $4,500.00 USD Sold
This is a huge (36x48) big painting with a handsome heavy 5” frame. This painting was just a “win/win” for me in every way. Inspired by a walk at “Land’s End” in San Francisco, it exactly captured the feeling of those big rocks and the California landscape. Incredibly, I painted it rather I impulsively in four hours flat and made no changes! It looks big and fresh and not overworked because it wasn’t. And it has a lot of the crackle and speckle that I love. I got lucky (or blessed) on this one! It makes up for all the paintings I have labored tediously over until they were so tired and overworked that I just had to trash them. I have tried quite a few times to duplicate the experience of this painting but have, so far, fallen considerably short. And this made it into the Hoosier Salon 2019.
